- Mark, I have seen some of your reviews and other assorted writings in the Asahi Journal. Nice work. I like building Japanese aircraft, but I also am a serious modeler of those of other countries as well.

- When I first clicked on to this site, the graphics told me right away that this was something special.
The article about the "Oscar" was well written and well researched. As a model maker and WW2 history buff, the information was very helpful.
The picture of the pilot standing in front of the powerful radial engine of his "Oscar" is a very powerful image.

- A very nice site!
It includes the two keys few websites really have - - fine layout/art design and credible content.
Leaves me wanting for more...
I'm a student of history (BA), and I'm especially interested in WW2 aviation. I have been unable to put away the tube of glue...and find this a good start on a great resource. Thanks.
Regards, John Crump
- A very nice site!
Comments: Mark...greetings!
Have enjoyed reading your posts on Dave Pluth's site...thanks for the affirmative re: modelling colors!
Kudos, kudos, and more kudos on your site...absolutely one of the prettiest I've ever seen (I've been a graphic designer myself for lotsa years, so I really do appreciate it!)
Enjoyed, also, the Hayabusa article in particular...great stuff!!!
Keep up the excellent work!
Best... Andrei Koribanics
- Just wanted to say hello and say this is a great web site.
I`ll spend hours just going through it. The photo gallery is super.
Also if anyone is interested I have about 1500 g.i. snapshots of w.w.2 German
aircraft I`m willing to share them with others. plus I`m always looking for more.
So e-mail me at rammjager@aol.com

- Hello From North Dakota! I have always been interested in Japanese
Aviation, since the purchase of my first Subaru, ten years ago. Iam trying
to find out if Nakajima had a corporate logo, and if so, what it looked like. Can you help me; or direct me to some one who might know? I have enjoyed your site!
Thank you!! Larry Larry Hendricks
- Interesting, I model Radio Control Aircraft, some of my favorites being WWII japanese aircraft, and it is always difficult to get accurate detailed markings, without a lot of contradictory informaiton.
Keep up the good work. Bill Swindells
- Howdy Mark, I sure like the ASAHI JOURNAL cover design. I note that on Vol 3#1 you have it copyright "Aozora" (Azure Sky), alas on the next issue, it is written "Aozuro" (Azure Panties). I put a note to Scott, but it slipped by him, thus Vol 3#3 still has "Aozuro". Perhaps you might leave it as an interesting joke?
Hope the "tiff" Jim has for my research has not turned you away from the DPluth web site. Noted your absence. Missed your input. David Aiken
- Greetings!
I just wanted to tell you that I think your site is truly a masterpiece!! One of my favorite hobbies has always been building WWII Japanese model kits and learning more about the history of them. Your site is so incredibly vast with an infinite array of information sites!! If you ever decide to publish this info in book form, count me in as your 1st customer!! Thank you for creating this timely work of art!! Mike M. Namba
- hi,

- Thanks for the great links to various sites related to A6M.
I am really enjoying in digging them into more details; it's going to take time from me ,ah...
As might be noticed from my mail address, I like ZERO. It's kind of obsession, I guess.
I am planning to visit Blayd corporation in Canada this winter before spring semester( I am currently studying aerospace engineering at Iowa State Univ.).
I hope, after the trip, I will be able to put some original pictures of their A6M taken by me, to my web page.
It will initiate my own web site about A6M.

- Mark,
I have struck a goldmine with your site on Japanese aviation. For over ten years now, I have slaved away in the wonderful, but maniacal world of silicon valley. All the while, my dream and passions were to someday leave this rat race and pursue making historical documentaries - especially in the area of the Pacific war and Japanese aviation history. After having discovered the riches of your site, I am excited about making the the "big leap" in a couple of years. Thanks Mark, you've done a great thing for Japanese aviation history and good thing for me. I'll be visiting often in preparation of the day I pick up an arriflex head out to the Pacific regions. - This really is a great site and I guess I could spend hours here and only skim all of the available info.
It might seem like heresey but do you know of any similiar sites covering Russian WW II aviation and also French WW II aircraft and especially camoflage schemes.
Kind regards Mike Feisst, New Zealand
- I wrote an e-mail earlier about the lack of pictures backing up text about markings and colors. I do stand corrected. But, I am new to this area. I do have some color photos of KI-45's from an old book of mine. If anything, it does show that japanese did take some color photos of their stuff.

Found your pages on a spanish web site. I mostly went to the Japanese part, and got a query about the topic. Do you know where I could find information about the A6M2N Rufe (Zeke with a floater)? Thanks! Laurent
- The Ki-61 that Kermit Weeks has came from a crash site south of Wewak PNG. The A/c was seen by me in the early '80 with the recoverer Soup Hosington (Deceased) of Chino Airport, Calif.

- Nice site! I am in need of information on Japanese aircraft used over the Pacific during WWII. I am writing a novel that centers on an aircraft and pilot. I have not selected a model yet, but need all info, schematics, customs, markings, etc. May result in a credit to you and your site for any help. Please direct me to the best source.

- Very good looking web page!
Anyone who knows where I can find a photo of a japanese pilot? It's not just anyone, I'm looking for one which portraits a pilot [half figure]. He's standing with his head on the back of his head tightening a headband [whith the japanese navy flag on it]. It's quite famous so I would be surprised if you hadn't seen it.
Last time I saw it was on a Gun's N Roses poster.
thanks fore a nice site. David Hanson

So, I guess I´ll just... fire away!
